After completing his studies in law at the universities of Augsburg, Munich, and Salzburg, Attorney Prof. Dr. Peter Hüttl began his practice as a lawyer at the law firm Dr. Heberer and colleagues in Munich in 2001, where he has since been involved with the legal issues of healthcare service providers. The firm of Dr. Heberer and colleagues has been specialized in healthcare law for over 30 years and is among the prominent and esteemed law practices in this field in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Due to his special theoretical and practical experience, the Munich Bar Association has allowed him since 2005 to use the title of Certified Specialist for Labor Law. Building on his already focused work in medical law, he further completed his expertise in this area by qualifying as a Certified Specialist for Medical Law in 2006.

Since the start of his legal practice, Hüttl has been active in the field of continuing education and training for healthcare service providers, centering his work on both physicians and health professional trades.

A consistent topic of his lectures, which he conducts for medical associations, clinics, doctors' offices, and the pharmaceutical industry, addresses the issue of delegating medical services to non-physician personnel.

As the physician assistant profession begins to take root in Germany, he has tackled the accompanying legal issues and has since appeared as a legal expert at numerous events and as an author of scholarly publications.

In the latest ranking by the magazine Wirtschaftswoche, Hüttl was recognized as a "TOP Lawyer for Medical Law" for the year 2019.
